Welcome to It's Time To Duel! 


My experience with the Yugioh card game dates back to almost twenty years ago when the first mythical anime series was broadcast on television. I was in high school and on my way back from school I saw my sister running to tell me that they were broadcasting an anime in which the protagonists play cards like magic the gathering. Yes, my experience with card games was born with Magic and for a short time with Dragon Ball cards. Unfortunately, and with great regret, I never found many people willing to play magic with me and at that time the playrooms were in short supply in my city. Also in my school, no one knew what card games were and you can imagine how difficult life was for an aspiring nerd like me. With the arrival of Yugioh's anime, I began to invite my favorite classmate to watch it and something snapped in him that first made him passionate about the cartoon and then triggered the desire to try that card game and all its absurd rules that were seen in the first season. This friend of mine sometime later told me that his stepbrother, who at the time did not attend much, was playing this card game with another friend of his and that it would be nice to play all together. This was the beginning of a long and lasting friendship to this day. Unfortunately, my classmate got lost along the way and we don't see each other anymore but with the other two guys we see each other every week and we manage to play a few games. Now we can also play online thanks to the various simulators of the game. Now I find myself here creating this blog to share with you my thoughts and ideas about this wonderful game that has given me the best friends I could ever find. I'll try to bring quality content, creative and interesting decklists, forbidden and limited list and meta speculation, tournament commentary, and more about our favorite game. 

I hope you like my content as much as I like to write and propose it.

Let's Talk About the Runick/Mysterune Archetype

Runick Fountain, the most important card of the archetype Runick is a Yugioh archetype released within the "Tactical Masters" expansion. It's also know as Mysterune. It's an archetype that focuses on mill the opponent's deck and represents a sort of return to the past, to a period in which there were still no decks based on a particular archetype but were formed by cards from various sets that had some similar and somewhat complementary effects. Cards like Needle Worm and Gravekeeper's Servant in 3x each, were the aces of that deck that could lead the opponent to run out of deck cards. Let's Talk About the Bystial/Byssted Archetype

  Welcome back, today we will talk about the "Bystial" archetype that will be released as part of the Darkwing Blast expansion , due out in October. Although the title of the expansion makes a clear reference to the "Darkwing" archetype, the most interesting cards are not the new supports for these winged beasts but the new "Bystial" cards that create an engine that can be used in many decks but which is was created right for the Branded Despia deck. In the last post , I described a version of the Branded Despia deck suitable for the Master Duel videogame that I recommend you read as the deck's staple cards and main combos are listed. With the release of the new Bystial supports, expect an update of this deck for the TCG version. In terms of lore, the term Bysted represents the fusion of the word "Beast" with the word "Abyss" which seems to be the setting in which we find these new dragon-type cards that relate to Fallen of Albaz
